AMENITIES & INTERIORS

AUTHENTIC & COMFORTABLE TOWNHOUSE LOCATED JUST moments from the beach & TOWN CENTER

This lovely townhouse is situated right on the waterfront in the heart of the charming fishing village of Ferragudo. Built 1937 and carefully renovated 2016-18 to modern standard retaining many of the traditional features makes it an utterly charming house. Stroll the cobbled winding alleys with local shops, genuine restaurants, a beautiful beach all within 300 m from the house.

Right at your doorstep you will find the local fishermen unloading their daily catches. It is only 100 meters to the local fish and fruit market where you can buy local produce and prepare a delicious dinner in the fully equipped modern kitchen. Strolling 200 meter down the narrow-cobbled alley lined with traditional Portuguese houses takes you to a range of excellent local restaurants, the town square, the local butcher and a bread bakery. If you are looking for an authentic and romantic holiday far from mass tourism this is the place.

THE NEIGHBOURHOOD

Facing the sprawl of Portimão across the Rio Arade estuary, Ferragudo is an attractive former fishing village centred on a strip of palm-fringed gardens that spread up to the cobbled main square, Praça Rainha Dona Leonor. A waterfront promenade, lined with seafood restaurants, skirts the estuary. Visitors looking to enjoy some time on the ocean can choose from a wide selection of boat trips from here, most linking up with those departing from Portimão.

The old town spreads steeply uphill behind the estuary and its warren of atmospheric cobbled backstreets gathers around Ferragudo’s church, with a terrace offering exceptional views.

GETTING AROUND

The beach can be easily accessed either by walking, cycling or by car. In order to properly explore the wonderful region of the Algarve we however do recommend our guests to rent a car.
